Argentina is a vast country with diverse terrain to explore, ranging from icy glaciers to sun-drenched vineyards. Arriving in Buenos Aires is like boarding a moving train. The modern metropolis whizzes by, teeming with street life ranging from bustling sidewalk cafes to quiet parks blanketed in purple jacaranda blooms in the spring. Stylish porteos (Buenos Aires inhabitants) enjoy public life, whether it’s sipping mate (a tea-like beverage) in the park on a Sunday or gelato beneath a gorgeous early-20th-century stone façade. There are numerous bookstores, unique boutiques, and gourmet restaurants. Córdoba, Salta, Mendoza, and Bariloche all offer distinct personalities and remarkable attractions that should not be overlooked.

When to travel will very much depend on where you want to visit. Argentina's springtime (October to mid-December) and fall (April to mid-June) are considered the best periods to visit, avoiding tourist crowds and peak season pricing.
