Late spring and early fall are great times to visit Germany, bypassing summer crowds and heat while reveling in mild weather, perfect for biergartens and sightseeing. May-June and September-October have lower hotel rates and thinner tourist numbers. November-March brings chilly weather, though Christmas markets and ski season make it worthwhile.
